What's the difference between cleaning a dryer vent and the lint trap?
The lint trap catches surface lint after each load. The dryer vent is the duct from the dryer to the outside, where lint builds up out of sight over time. A clogged dryer vent is a fire risk and slows drying; it is what we clean.
How often should I have my chimney swept?
Most homes benefit from a sweep and inspection once a year, typically before the cool season. Frequently used wood-burning fireplaces may need it more often.
